  4. Indecent exposure:<\/strong> If you publicize someone\u2019s private pictures without their consent, it\u2019s a misdemeanor. However, if you do the same in front of a child, you may be labeled a sex offender\u2014that counts as a felony.<\/li>\n
  5. Traffic violations:<\/strong> Traffic violations are mostly misdemeanors. Over-speeding, driving without a license, driving under the influence, etc.are all minor offenses. On the flip side, if the traffic violation causes signification damage to someone\u2019s life or property, you may end up behind bars for anywhere between one year to life imprisonment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What are felonies?<\/h2>\n

    Felonies are more severe in nature. They are categorized according to their degree\u2014first-degree felonies are the most severe. Most felonies result in imprisonment sentences that exceed one year and can extend throughout the life of the defendant.<\/p>\n

    Also, such prisoners are detained in state or federal jails. In case of a felony, both the defendant and the prosecutor must appoint their own attorneys. The courts may appoint one for them if they can\u2019t afford to do so themselves:<\/p>\n
